J. Herbin Ink Cartridges Tin of 6
Available in 20 exquisite colours. Fast drying, lightfast and waterbased.
J. Herbin is the oldest name in ink production in the world, using all natural dyes in their fountain pen inks. The names chosen for each colour are very poetic to preserve the originality of the brand and the French tradition. For example Gris Nuage - Cloud Grey - a light gray resembling a cloudy sky at sea slightly darkening before the storm. This colour also represents the journeys taken at sea by J. Herbin when traveling to India.
This cartridge fits all pens except Sheaffer, Parker, Lamy, A.T. Cross, Pilot/Namiki, Sailor, Platinum, Aurora, Fultz and Nakaya. They also fit all the Kaweco fountain pens we keep in stock.
J. Herbin was established in 1670, when Louis XIV, the Sun King, was 32 years old. By 1700, the company was producing ‘l’Encre de la Tete Noire’, followed by ‘Perle des Encres’ (The Jewel of Inks) and ‘l’Encre des Vaisseaux’ (The Ink of Ships). J. Herbin made ink for Louis XIV and a black ink for the sole use of Victor Hugo, author of The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Les Miserables.
